Welcome to Portland Hall Spa.
With an emphasis on peace, quiet, personal space and privacy, we offer you the unique Moroccan & Art Deco surroundings of this old Synagogue in which to wind down, relax and de-stress.
Although we are based in the town centre of Southport, we have our own parking facilities. Our position close to the famous Lord Street Boulevard enebles you to enjoy both the town and the promenade.
Uniquely, we offer private use of our candlelit spa pool for two or more people, so that you can relax in peace, uninterrupted by others. We regard your relaxation in the pool as the start of your journey through the Spa.
Our day spa has many double rooms and is perfect for couples or friends. Equally it is perfect for single indulgence. Our Elemis trained staff offer expert massage, facials, and body treatments. Visits can be planned around lunch, or a half day will allow time to be spent shopping. We also offer spa breaks at the Ramada Plaza Hotel on the seafront, just a couple of minutes away by car or accessible by a short walk.

Monday, Friday, Saturday 9am - 6 pm

Arrival
Please DO NOT arrive prior to the time given to you. We build in a 30 minute arrival time to give some flexibility and to enable you not to be rushed. Should you be late for an appointment, we may need to shorten the time allocated to ensure the next client is seen at their allocated time.
What is a Day Spa?
It’s a fantastic environment in which people can enjoy time together, take time out to lounge, relax, unwind and be pampered from morning to night. We offer traditional and holistic treatments for both men and women, for body and soul, as well as beauty treatments, hairdressing and food.
What makes it unique?
There isn't another quite like it in the country! Portland Hall Spa has a unique emphasis on personal space, relaxation and quiet. Clients have exclusive use of the candlelit spa pool for themselves or their group, at which they are waited on with fresh fruit.
We pride ourselves on being different, taking the client through a journey perhaps planned around lunch, or a particular flow of treatments. Our goal is to offer a form of escapism that leads to relaxation. You will never feel rushed at Portland Hall.
We are primarily an Elemis Day Spa and our focus is on facials and body massage; however we have joined up with Kimia to offer their new Exquisite Rejuvenating Facial System which compliments Elemis treatments, and with Universal Contour Wrap which offers an inch-loss programme.
As finalists in the British Health & Beauty Awards 2008, we have a lot to live up to. Our stunning facilities also include the Moroccan Suite, two person ceramic mud Rasul, the amazing Dry Float for wraps, the Spa Jet with infra-red heat and water massage, many double rooms, lounging and eating areas and a dedicated hair salon.
What is a Rasul?
This centuries old cleansing ritual was a major social part of Arab life. Today this exotic aromatic temple is used by singles, couples or friends who appreciate the sharing aspect of the experience. Seated under 1000 stars, you’ll apply therapeutic muds to different parts of the body which work to exfoliate the skin, eliminate toxins and boost circulation. Steam infused with pure herbs fills the atmosphere. Sit back and relax whilst the mud works its magic and finally a warm rain shower completes the ritual, leaving you feeling cleansed and revitalised.
Do you have to be a member?
You don’t have to be member. If you are simply coming in for a one off treatment or hairdressing, there is no extra charge. However, if you want to use the pool and lounge areas, then a one off fee is payable on the day. We do however offer a membership with amazing deals, see VIP club for more details.
If I decide to become a Member what are the benefits?

If I wanted to become a member do I have to pay in advance?
Not necessarily, a discount is given to anyone wishing to pay upfront for the year, otherwise a monthly standing order can be arranged, or your credit/debit card debited monthly.
If I just want my hair done, or my nails, can I?
Yes of course. If you are having your first colour or perm, we offer a FREE manicure. We have a wide range of services offered in the hairdressing department.
Is for it women only?
No, it is for men too – Elemis have some fantastic treatments and products for men.
Do you have free parking?
Parking is available within the Spa grounds.

Unless otherwise stated there is a £10 charge for hire of robes and slippers.
